18 riders took to the start on the K41/10, on a warm night with a 10 mph breeze from the North East. It was nice to see some returning riders from Coventry Tri. Results Overall:- 1st Carl Shaw (Speed Hub) 21.22, 2nd Robert Gibbons (Race Rapid) 21.26 & 3rd Michael Costello (Race Hub) 22.35. 1st female rider was Jane Hagley (Ratae) – 29.07, 2nd Cathy Scholes (Cov Tri) 30.24 & 3rd Elaine Synnott (Cov Tri) 31.59.

A very wet night

A welcome return of the HCRC 25 mile 4-up Team Time Trial returning back to the K41/25 after the last being run in 2019 on the K10/25P at Princethorpe. The event was to raise funds for this year’s charity https://agifttolift.com/ . The charity is close to the heart of the club and provides wishes to blood cancer patients as a pick me up during harsh treatment. Wishes can be anything they desire from a Spa Day to an iPad, up to the value of £200. To date over 200 wishes have been provided. The event was based at Wolvey C of E Primary School, with the first team away at 09:03.am. The event was organised by Mark Bingley, Hinckley Cycle Race Club Secretary, Timekeeper was Laurie Bird and Recorder was Mac Adcock. Members, family members & Supporters of HCRC provided support to enable the event to be staged. (Great support as always) 12 teams entered the event, with riders from the following clubs/teams:- HCRC, Peak Road Club, Derby Mercury RC, Team Jewson – MI Racing, 1485 Tri Club, Apache Brave Racing, Stoney Stanton Velo Club, Ratae RC, Beeston Cycling Club, Mark White Coaching RT, Leicester Forest CC, Coalville Whs, Ilkeston Cycle Club, Ellmore Factory Racing.
