A few photos from last night’s Tuesday 10. A total of 47 riders took to the start, this being our biggest entry this year on the K41/10, on a hot night with a 9mph breeze from the North East. Again, we had a large number of riders on their first TNT of the year, 2 for HCRC and 16 guest riders, mostly from Cov Tri, it was great to see you all and hope you will be back next week for our last TNT of 2023 season where we are planning to offer tea and cake courtesy of Mark and Eleanor. Long time HCRC member, Andy Thomas, completed in his first TNT and recorded a very respectable 25.24, also with a first rider for HCRC was Warren Stone with a time of 28.48. A total of 18 riders took to the start on the K41/10, on a wet night with an 6mph breeze from the North West. Again, we had a number of riders on their first TNT of the year last night, with Stephen Spooner from Cov Tri taking 1st overall on this first TNT ride. Lauren Creamer maintains her 100% winning record with her 3rd first place of the year. Great ride both. Matt Finch ended his 5 rider run of improving his ride time event by event, this time missing out by a few seconds on improving his time for the 6th time this year. Due to an issue at the finish line I have no results. It was good to see riders from RATAE, WVCC and Cov Tri returning as well lots of new riders here for the first time and April & Dean Tacey back with April following her recent rides in the Baloise Ladies Tour and Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift for Lifeplus Wahoo. I’m sure this brought back memories of the climb to the top of the Tourmalet It was good also to catch up with a number of people back at HQ and thanks again for the comments on the photos, very kind. Hinckley CRC 25 mile 4-up Team Time Trial – 2nd July 2023 – K41/25 The event was based at Wolvey C of E Primary School, with the first team away at 09:04.am, with Coventry Tri leading the riders off. The event was organised by Mark Bingley, Hinckley Cycle Race Club Secretary, Timekeeper was Laurie Bird and Recorder was Mac Adcock. This year saw 16 teams enter the event, on a cool morning with a 12 mph breeze from the west. The event attracted entries from the following clubs/teams:- HCRC, 1485 Tri Club, Apache Brave Racing, Belper BC, Born to Bike - Bridgtown Cycles, Brereton Whs, Coventry Triathletes, Equipe Velo, Ratae RC, Royal Sutton CC, Royal Marines Association Cycle Club, Royal Leamington Spa Cycling Club, Sheffield Youth Cycling Club, Team Lutterworth Cycle Centre, Team Bottrill, Team Enable - M.I. Racing – McCann, The Dead Parrots, South Normanton C C The event was to raise funds for this year’s charity, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance providing an essential service attending emergencies quickly, especially to those in remote areas. Members, family members, volunteers & Supporters of HCRC provided support to enable the event to be staged. (Great support as always, thank you to everyone), Joanna Ellershaw provided a fantastic assortment of cakes, which appeared to go down well (I will get to try one year), along with Debbie Cooper’s cup cakes. Can I also add a big thank you to all of the riders for not getting upset with a camera stuck in your face, and can I just say how nice it was to hear so many riders thanking the marshals for their support in enabling this event to take place.
