During the annual Hinckley Cycle Racing Club Members breakfast club run, Club Chair, Eleanor Mather,  welcomes new President Morgan Reynolds to his new role.   Morgan, who has been a member of HCRC since 1968, takes over the role following the loss of Trevor Page, founder and life President who sadly passed away in 2023. During his time with the Club Morgan has been active in many areas helping to support and promote cycling and HCRC in whatever way possible.

With the Tuesday 10’s fast approaching, its that time again to ask for volunteers to help out with marshalling duties at these events.  Without marshal’s we are unable to run these popular TT’s, so if you are a HCRC Member, or someone who rides regularly and are able to spare a couple of nights to marshal, please contact Mark or Ele via the HCRC Facebook page.  Many thanks.    

The 2024 Breakfast Club Ride will take place on the 17th March going to Ben’s Kitchen (The Rising Sun), Church Rd, Shackerstone, Nuneaton CV13 6NN. Open to all 2024 Members, come and enjoy a free breakfast on HCRC, you can ride, drive, walk or run to the event, its all about meeting up as a club. Riders will leave Argents Mead at 8.30am, Kris will put together 2 routes with everyone meeting at Bens Kitchen at 10.00am, to enjoy a full breakfast with a vegetarian option. Membership is now open for 2024, if renewing before the 31.12.23, then an early bird discount will apply.  Please note that membership renewal is now by the British Cycling Website only, full details can be found under the Join Us tab on this website.  To use the BC site an £1.00 application fee is charged and the committee has agreed to reduce all membership by £1.00 to allow for this. The committee also agreed to no increase in the cost of the membership which remains at 2022 levels.       

Hinckley Cycle Race Club AGM will be held from 7:30pm Tuesday December 5th at the New Plough Inn. The outline of our agenda will be: Free drink, Free buffet, Chair’s speech including year review and financial status. Confirmation of club membership fees and membership management tool. Election of the new committee. Full details will be posted later. Please come and join us for the AGM, you’ve a chance to socialise and to help shape the club. * Please answer this event as “Going/not going” (on the Facebook page) so that we have an idea of numbers to cater for.
